Please do not support this business! Please like this review if it prevents you from going to Brown's Texaco/Extreme Clean Auto Wash -- so we can show them how much business they are losing by treating their customers so horribly (and prevent it from happening to other people). On 5/3/2017 at 3:41PM CT I took my car to Extreme Clean Auto Wash located at 7584 Hwy 72 W, Madison, AL 35758, and purchased the Extreme Express Wash for $7. Upon exiting the car wash I parked in the vacuum area to clean the interior of my car. When I went to open the passenger door behind the driver seat, the handle fell off. This handle had been working in the parking lot of UAH which was my previous destination. I immediately notified the attendant, who merely recommended that I use Gorilla Glue to fix the handle, and took my receipt to refund the $7 price of the car wash. After that I immediately went to the Bentley Hyundai dealer (where I purchased the car) and was advised that Gorilla Glue would fail to fix the handle and would ruin the paint on the door. The service department at the dealer gave me an estimate of the repair cost and taped over the handle area to prevent moisture from rusting the interior of the door. I then drove back to Extreme Clean Auto Wash and presented the estimate to the attendant. The attendant refused to take the estimate and insisted that I take the matter up with Mr. Jason Brown. The attendant gave me Mr. Brown's business number. I made numerous calls/voicemails to that number (I'd estimate between 10-20) starting on 5/3/2017, but never received a response. I went ahead and ordered the part and paint job to fix my handle and finally got the new handle installed on 6/23/2017. That same day I repeatedly called the business number for Mr. Jason Brown, leaving one voicemail after another, until he finally returned my call. After I narrated the above events to him, Mr. Brown insisted that I was ineligible for coverage of the repair costs because 1) I had "left the property" and 2) "there is nothing in the car wash that could have broken the handle." I'd like to further point out that this is not the first time Extreme Clean Auto Wash has damaged a customer's car and refused to make good on the repair cost. I'd like to repeat the following review by Jessica Ford on Google Reviews which mirrors my experience exactly -- if only I had bothered to check the reviews before visiting! Jessica Ford a year ago- My parents had a horrible experience here. The antenna was broken off their car, when confronted about it the management was extremely rude, refused to make it right and weren't even apologetic. On top of all that the actual wash job was terrible, white suds/wax spots all over the car and the back hadn't even been washed. The antenna cost over $50 to replace, take your business elsewhere." I am hopeful that mediation by the BBB will put an end to the way Extreme Clean Auto Wash treats customers whose cars are damaged by their car wash. In the meantime, please do not support this business!
